New Goodies!

So I've been shopping, A LOT lately! I have quite a few items to show you guys but here's some things that I got at the start of summer that I'm absolutely loving!

This makeup train case is by MOR, typically they make bath and soap products, which smell amazing by the way, and have the cutest packaging! So I was thrilled when I saw this black and white printed train case since the handle on my old one had just ripped! This one is shorter and wider than most of the cases you see, but I love it since it fits everything! And I mean everything! My straightener, clarisonic, electric toothbrush, makeup (a lot of makeup!) and the rest of my toiletries! It also has a zipper pocket on the top 'lid' part.

These wedges I got from target, of course I always meander my way over to the shoe section when I shop for groceries and of course, these are perfect for summer! As I ordered books for my summer school courses from amazon, I had to throw in Grace Coddington's memoir, Grace, which I have been dying to pick up!

I finally bought a clarisonic! After battling with bumps that wouldn't surface and feeling like my skin was rather dull I felt like it was time to buy one! Note, I am very diligent with my skincare routine, I can't sleep with makeup on, and I exfoliate and wear masks every now and then but never the less nothing would get rid of those little bumps! Normally I won't jump on the bandwagon, let alone spend $125 for a skin 'product', yet I decided to go for it and now I'm hooked! And those little bumps, are long gone!

(look in your nearest store, mine were $9 on sale!)
(I got mine on Amazon for $125 instead of $149,
Ulta often has 20% coupons & if your a member then its worth the points!)

What's in my makeup bag?

I've recently come to the conclusion that I have WAY to much stuff in my makeup bag, pretty sure there was about 20 lip glosses, 3 lip balms, and about 15 other things that I hardly use. Now I always like to have options, but when you cant close the zipper you know that's too many options!

Here's what I've limited it down to!

The Nars Powder Foundation Compact I love for touch up's throughout the day. Its too much to set my foundation with but when 3 o'clock rolls around I like to have a little refresher! It helps to smooth out the creases under my eyes from my concealer and recreates an even finish on my face.
 I wear Deauville (Light3)

At first I wasn't too sure about the L'oreal Voluminous Carbon Black mascara, but after seeing all the hype about it I bought it. It definitely has been worth the hype, and for a drugstore product it's a great buy! I prefer it over the Diorshow mascara for sure!!!

The Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil is my go to lip color! It's a little redder than my natural lip color but doesn't look like your wearing much on your lips! I love putting a gloss over it to make it stand out more too and it feels sooooo silky! My FAVORITE color is Dolce Vita

The Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie Lipgloss I got in the Radiance set that was at Sephora a few months ago. I'm not too big into those value sets since I end up wearing only 1 or 2 items in them but this set is amazing! Usually the lip colors aren't too great either but I love this one! It's in Big Spender and has a peachy, gold finish

The Flower Beauty Shine On Lipgloss in Lovely Lotus (LG3) has become my go-to lip gloss! It's the perfect pinky color without sparkle but a ton of shine! A little bit goes a long way and I absolutely LOVE the lipglosses in this line!

My all time favorite perfume is Stella McCartney! This roll-on perfume I got at Sephora for about $20 and I've had it since September, use it everyday- sometimes more than my big spray bottle and there's still about a quarter left! It's a great size to take on the go or if your flying and this little guy will definitely last me a year!

The Fresh Sugar Lip Balm was apart of a Sephora birthday gift set that I got back in September. I don't use it much but started to recently. The color is in Rose and it has this little sweet smell to it. It's the perfect pink tint if your not into lipsticks or glosses! I love using liner then popping this on top and it makes your lips feel SO smooth!

I HAVE HAVE HAVE to wear sunscreen everyday! My moisturizer and foundation often have sunscreen but I always forget my chest! The beau works for a dermatology surgeon so after seeing pictures of sun damage and skin cancer removals I am adamant about wearing SPF! I used to be the girl that would pour Hawaiian Tropics tanning oil all over and would lay outside for hours! Since I know I've already had sun damage, and even though it doesn't show I know that in 20 years it will! I keep these little sample tubes with me for when I forget to apply it in the am! This ones by SkinCeuticals, and although the big tube is a bit pricey I absolutely love it. It's super sheer and works as a great makeup primer as well, and its SPF 50!

The hair ties I have to have on me! I always find myself putting my hair up or loosing these little ties. I go to the craft stores to buy the ribbon, for about $1.50/yard and can make about 4 ties per yard. WAY cheaper than paying about $2 per tie at most boutiques!

Let me know if you guys want to see swatches or full reviews for any of these products!

More new goodies!

Hi everyone! I apologize for the lack of posts, I just started school again, taking on 18 units this semester so I hope I'll be able to be more consistent with my posts!
Here's some more new goodies I recently picked up!

OPI nail colors in Wooden Shoe like to know and Don't Pretzel my buttons! Plus there liquid sand color in Stay the night along with the Seche Vite top coat which I've been hearing so much about and can really say I love it! Plus to CND bottom coat which keeps your polish sticking to your nail without chipping!
I'll post these colors this week too!
Some Halogen booties I picked up for about $45 at Nordstrom Rack
A pair of GAP wedeges I got on clearance for $13
Bronx wedges for $40 from Nordstrom Rack

A fun red top from Forever21 on sale for $8.99 (picture's not the best-will do a post with it on)

It seems like every week I'm buying something new! My boyfriend says I'm a shopping addict but when you see something you like AND its on sale or clearance, why not? Maybe I am a little addicted...However, I make sure to watch myself in the sense that I'm not buying things just to buy, especially because there on sale!

What do you guys think? Do you buy things just because there on sale?

Daytime Make-Up Routine

I usually stick to wearing the same make up throughout the week & will play around with different lip colors or eyeshadows if I'm going out or doing something fun! But here's my daily routine of what I typically wear.

FOR THE FACE:
I start with a moisturizer then go onto my concealer. I recently started using the Laura Geller concealer and LOVE it! Concealer is something I tend to stick with throughout the years, but at a recent trip to Ulta I came upon this since the Chanel concealer I was using started to get a bit too pricey consider how long it lasted. Next I'll go onto foundation, I know people HATE that word but after trying the Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer it just wasn't enough coverage for me! I typically use the L'oreal foundation in W4 but if I want a thicker consistency or if I'm going out I'll use my Jane Iredale 'Glow Time' BB Cream in BB7! I absolutely love it but try to use it sparingly since its $48/tube vs. L'Oreal $8 bottle. Before I finish with my setting powder by Laura Mercier, I'll do a slick of the Nars multiple in Mustique, which unfortunately isn't being made anymore, but I also LOVE the Nars multiple in Orgasm! I use that as my highlighter then a TINY bit of my Bobbi Brown Cream Blush in Pale Pink (11) on the apples of my cheeks then I will set it. If I want a little color I'll use Benefit's Hoola Bronzer with a little of the Bobbi Brown Brick Bronzer.

FOR THE EYES:
I will dab a little concealer on my eyelids to create an even palette then finish with powder or an ivory/beige shimmer eyeshadow if I want a little more. Next I will use the Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner just a tad close to my eyelashes (another great one is the gel eyeliner by Forever 21 but only comes in Black-->same stuff I swear!) Then I will finish off with 2-3 coats of mascara on top and one on the bottom but closer to the outside of my eyelashes.
For my eyebrows I use the gel/powder combo, using the gel first then finishing with the powder, if I feel my brows are being "unruly" I'll use a clear eyebrow gel by E.L.F.

FOR THE LIPS:
Lips I'll usually using a lipliner for the outsides first, such as MAC's Spice then go over it with a clear gloss, or use Bobbi Brown Lipgloss in Tangerine while using the applicator to blend the liner in. Another favorite for day is L'Oreal's Violet Chiffon, but I use one slick on top & bottom then blot so it isn't too purple.
