Lust List- Cut Off's

So I am still on the hunt for the PERFECT cut off! I have a good 5 or 6 pairs but I always wear the same ones over and over and I think its time I find a new pair to wear out. With a good month of summer left, okay let's be real, summer never really ends in Santa Barbara, but regardless, I would love to find a good pair of cut off's before it's time to sit back in a classroom to finish my BA!

Here's some cut off's I'm loving! Now I just need to find a pinterest worthy pair :)

Here's some I'm currently considering: these, thesethese, & these

4th of July Recap!

Hope everyone had a fantastic 4th of July! Mine was pretty low key this year, the beau and I went to my cousins house for a little backyard BBQ and ended the night riding our bikes to the pier to see the fireworks.

Usually I don't get too festive but this year I felt like dressing up a little for the 4th! I wore the Chili flake lipstick from Jcrew and it is the PERFECT red for summer! It has more of an orangy undertone but it just looks tomato red when you put it on! And it stays put forever!!! I bought a nautical striped top from F21 and wore some DIY cut off shorts by Levi's, threw on some white converse and done! 4th of July ready! My bag was a recent find from Urban Outfitters, talk about a steal- it was $4.99 on Sale! Who doesn't love a fun little clutch? Plus I felt like I needed some color in my life

I know its a little late to ask, but how was everyone else's 4th?

Summer Solstice in Santa Barbara

Hi guys!!!!
I have been lagging on the posts lately, I'm having a little stay-cation while I have some family in town and finally found some time to post!

Every year Santa Barbara hosts a huge Summer Solstice parade! I'm talking the whole city comes out plus visitors from all over! This is a chance for your inner hippie to shine, to dress up, dance in the street and let go! It's so fun seeing all the costumes people wear in the parade and all the floats that are decked out in flowers, streamers, basically the most random scraps one can find! This years theme was 'creatures', and every year there is a theme for the solstice parade and afterwards it all ends at Alice Keck Park where all the floats park and your free to roam around checking out various vendors, grab a beer in the beer garden or join in on the drum circle!

Some of my girlfriends and I made flower crowns to wear, I decided to wear all white & cream, with my H&M crochet shorts and a flouncy tank from Nordstroms with my all white flower crown, they were super easy and so fun to make! Let me know if you gals want a tutorial!

Here's some photos from this year! We watched the parade from Carlitos Mexican Cantina (hello margarita bar!) but I didn't have a very good view for snapping pics of the parade :(
