Sum Sum Summa time

Today is the last day of my online statistics class! YIPPEE!!! So with that, I CAN NOT WAIT to fully indulge in summer time now! I want the sun, lazy mornings, farmers market, bike rides, bbq's and BIKINI'S!!!!

I have yet to book a trip this summer (aside from a recent trip to San Diego & Durango) but I am lusting after somewhere tropical and hot! But let's be real, who doesn't want that!?

Here's to the start of summer, for me at least!
Cheers

New Goodies!

So I've been shopping, A LOT lately! I have quite a few items to show you guys but here's some things that I got at the start of summer that I'm absolutely loving!

This makeup train case is by MOR, typically they make bath and soap products, which smell amazing by the way, and have the cutest packaging! So I was thrilled when I saw this black and white printed train case since the handle on my old one had just ripped! This one is shorter and wider than most of the cases you see, but I love it since it fits everything! And I mean everything! My straightener, clarisonic, electric toothbrush, makeup (a lot of makeup!) and the rest of my toiletries! It also has a zipper pocket on the top 'lid' part.

These wedges I got from target, of course I always meander my way over to the shoe section when I shop for groceries and of course, these are perfect for summer! As I ordered books for my summer school courses from amazon, I had to throw in Grace Coddington's memoir, Grace, which I have been dying to pick up!

I finally bought a clarisonic! After battling with bumps that wouldn't surface and feeling like my skin was rather dull I felt like it was time to buy one! Note, I am very diligent with my skincare routine, I can't sleep with makeup on, and I exfoliate and wear masks every now and then but never the less nothing would get rid of those little bumps! Normally I won't jump on the bandwagon, let alone spend $125 for a skin 'product', yet I decided to go for it and now I'm hooked! And those little bumps, are long gone!

(look in your nearest store, mine were $9 on sale!)
(I got mine on Amazon for $125 instead of $149,
Ulta often has 20% coupons & if your a member then its worth the points!)

The El Encanto

The El Encanto is a boutique hotel that was recently reopened after being closed for 7 years for construction, and was built in 1918! It sits in the lush hills on the riviera just a few miles from my house & I knew the beau and I just had to check it out!

We didn't get to walk around too much since we arrived for a late dinner, but let me tell you- the California craftsman mixed with Spanish style architecture creates a beautiful layout for the chic and simple interior decoration, with plantation style windows and shutters that open to views of Santa Barbara, yes please!

Here's some shots of what we ate, and what I wore! More shots of the hotel to come soon!

The beau had halibut

I had the salmon- which if your a salmon lover like me, this was ahhhhmazing

Top- random cream silk

BANG BANG

After Durango I felt I was in need of a change. Summer school just started, and I was getting back into a new routine for summer and was starting to feel the lull of June gloom coming on! Inspired by the bang styles of Sienna Miller and Nicole Richie, I thought hey why not chop some bangs? Its been a little over a week since I cut them and I have to admit, I've been pinning them back a few times already! Sure it's been a little breezy, but I have to say I'm still getting used to them!

For those of you wanting to get bangs, I suggests thinking it over more, and heck even going to one of the stands at the mall that sells extensions to see what you'd look like with them!

As for now, let the bang rocking begin...

Durango Style

The beau and I recently took a trip to Durango, if you saw a couple posts back I posted a few outfit ideas while packing, and of course wore hardly any of them! It was so hot during the day, in the 80's but when you went inside anywhere the air conditioning was blasting! I stuck to jeans and t's most the time, but here's one of the outfits I wore out West!

June Gloom- literally!

So this summer definitely kicked off to a good start, that is until yesterday. The previous night my car was broken into, 2 of my bags were stolen, one Zara book bag & another Gap canvas bag. At first I was in shock since I park in the gated lot within my apartment complex in a pretty safe neighborhood, yet 5 cars within our lot got broken into!

I was so shocked that I didn't even realize that they had taken these two bags at first, within in them luckily was nothing of much value but my Warby Parker prescription glasses, 2 personal journals, some books & magazines, a broken COACH watch that I needed to have repaired and a stethoscope which I had gotten the beau before he decided to start a brewery were in the two bags. Of course there's nothing they could really sell or make money off of, but the fact that they broke in and violated my personal space makes it so much worse!

This morning I had my window fixed but the feeling still doesn't go away.

Remember to always remove your valuables, even a book bag can get taken and they won't know what goodies may be inside!

As for my blog posts, Durango kept me busy and when I got back I started summer school the next day! I'm taking Stats and a Politics and Film Class, so I can't wait to get to the fun stuff on my computer, blogging!

Remember to follow me on Pinterest and Instagram in the meantime!
